About Dead Trees:

Dmitan, slow with words but quick with his blade, is a Mask, a fighter guilty of violence and banned from showing his face. Deeply unpopular due to rumours about his childhood, his only friends are his sabretooth tiger Fury, and, Ayella, a daring young girl he’s forced to support.

Sad and lonely, to survive Dmitan and Fury must flee through the wilderness. But the wilds contain new fears and the greatest threat of all may be about to rise. Sooner or later Dmitan will have to choose between defending his home against a supernatural threat, or taking revenge against the murderers who underestimated him.

Dead Trees is a standalone novel. It is set in the pre-industrial world of the Masks of the Wild universe.

About Quiet Savages:

Eeka the animal trader, young, hesitant, and afraid of confrontation, is witness to a murder committed by the reckless mafia group known as The Lullaby. Along with his friends, a ragtag gang of misfits, Eeka’s life is in danger. Scared of his pursuers, but more afraid to die, Eeka’s best of chance of survival is to hunt the killers who hunt him. Even if it means losing himself in the process.
On the other side of the conflict, Winter, the reluctant captain of an ensemble of gangland losers, is the member of the Lullaby charged with taking Eeka out of the picture. Winter has to kill Eeka, but he also wants to escape this world before his daughter gives up on him. Old and regretful, Winter wonders where his life has gone and when it’s too late to find a new one.
Weaving between them both is Treffil. She’s not great with people, but through her skill at puzzles and her obsession with work she’s climbing the ranks as an enforcer in the city Authority. Her team might be incompetent rogues, but she’s going to be the commander who solves this case, even if it means telling some lies along the way.

Set in Kilbane, a sprawling, gaslamp city, Eeka, Winter and Treffil’s stories will collide. Only one of them can come out on top: the man who’ll do anything to escape, the woman who’ll do anything to win and the boy who’ll do anything to survive.

Quiet Savages is a standalone novel. It is set in the Masks of the Wild universe.
